Welcome to Indiana Academy

Welcome to the Indiana Academy web page! We hope this site will be helpful in providing resources for your potential needs; but even more, a window into some of the wonderful things happening on our campus.  If you would allow me, I would like to share with you some of the incredible things God is doing currently, and the plans He is laying out for us in the near future. I believe, now more than ever, that we must be about doing the Lord’s Business in His schools. That is the goal and purpose of Indiana Academy---following God’s ultimate plan for Adventist Education as found in Scripture and the Spirit of Prophecy.

The year before last, the faculty and staff at IA began to ask themselves some very serious questions.  What is our mission and vision? How should Indiana Academy be positioning itself given the eschatological times we are living in? Out of that soul searching and hard examination came a radical change to the school curriculum.  Woven into the standard Bible curriculum has come the introduction of Bible electives.  These electives provide young people the opportunity for some hands-on training in practical aspects of their faith! Electives focus on how to teach a Bible study, how to lead a song service, how to preach, how to deal with being a Christian in today’s society, effective communication, stories of faith, and more.  The training provided in these electives will equip our students to step into leadership roles in their local churches as they transition into adulthood.   more...

Testimonials

My first year at I.A. would have to be the best thing that has ever happened to me. At first I was influenced by the other kids around me and how they said it was a bad school. As soon as I stopped listing to them I had a new perspective on my hands. The end of the school year came and it tore me to pieces because i didn't know if I was coming back. So I prayed and I got this sense of peace because I asked God, if it is your will; I will go back to I.A. and do what you want me to do there. But if it is not your will I will stay at home and go to my public high school and do your will there. I stopped thinking I was in control. I.A. has taught me that by listening to all the teachers (who care about you) and just being around people that can show me that GOD IS IN CONTROL, has taught me a lot!

At this school, God has chosen people who deeply and sincerely care about you, they want you to do well, they want you to succeed.....they want to see you in heaven. And so they are doing the work God has assigned them to do...and that is to prepare us for the kingdom of God. I am extremely thankful that I have had this opportunity to come to IA

Senior, 2011
Ok, So this is my Senior year. I'm really glad I came to this school, because I've developed an amazing relationship with God, and gained a lot of Happiness and self confidence, and dorm life has taught me much responsibility. This was great experience, and I learned so much, thanks to the staff, and even my fellow classmates at IA.
